Why IILEYA?

Imagine if we could remove our filters, our make-up, our social and cultural masks, these layers built one by one, consciously and unconsciously, since we were very little...

Imagine tending the roots beneath those layers, remembering our voice, and restoring the connection between our inner and outer worlds.

IILEYA is that invitation: a space to root down, peel back, and reset the narratives that no longer serve us, so we can author our lives again, feeling more alive and aligned with who we truly are.

IILEYA in Xhosa means layers.

"What happens to one, happens to us all. We are all interconnected in this web of life.

As the planet’s resources are eroding, so are ours; our sense of purpose, belonging and connection to ourselves, to one another and to the world around us.

About Me and The Practice

"As an Ecological Psychologist with a Doctoral degree in Ecological Psychology (USA), my work is grounded in care, ethics, inclusivity and relational awareness.  Drawing on an integrative, humanistic and trauma-informed approachI accompany people and organisations in exploring the stories, patterns, and ecosystems that shape their ways of being.

Over the years, my professional path has  taken me across different ecosystems of cultures, faiths and continents, from the corporate world of human relationships to spaces of healing, education and community flourishing, accompanying and supporting people from over 40 nationalities.

This experience deepened my understanding of the complexity of human stories, the richness diversity brings, and the importance of creating spaces where all voices are heard and embraced."

IILEYA as a Collaborative Practice

"With IILEYA, I wanted to create pathways for living and being with others differently; uncovering layers, rewriting narratives, and connecting the dots in the workplace, in our communities, and in our families,  to nurture deeper resilience and collective renewal.

It is a space where we can safely uncover, compost, compose and renew; releasing the narratives that no longer serves us and re-storying  our life stories in ways that feel more connected, grounded and alive. "
